Microsoft Word and Apps: Creating Digital Forms

Course information

This course will enable you to create effective Word documents with form fields for entering and capturing text and/or other data. These features are not just for forms, but can also be used to make more versatile documents where different versions or options are regularly required.
Also covered in this course: Using the Forms app in Office365 for creating online forms and surveys.
(This course will NOT cover generating PDF-fillable forms.)

Topics included:

MS Word forms

  • understanding how to structure and design a form
  • using form elements to create electronic forms, including drop-down lists, date pickers, tickboxes and radio buttons
  • protecting and restricting editing of forms
  • output Word form data to other media

O365 Forms

  • creating content and managing settings
  • using branching logic
  • how to distribute or share a form or embed in a Team
  • managing responses
