Qualifications needed
This course presumes a good working knowledge of Word and in particular Word styles as covered in the Advanced Document Management course for Word.
Course information
This course is aimed at users who want to create form letters, customised emails and label sheets in Word.
Skills include:
- understanding the structure of mail merge and data documents
- setting up a mail merge from data sources in Word, Excel or Access
- understanding and using merge fields
- creating form letters and labels from lists
- using advanced features such as conditional rules to add additional content
- using mail merge with Outlook to send personalised emails
- techniques to send grouped information (for example, multiple records per person)
